Temples: Artist Of The Day

Originally starting as a Who cover band home project between collaborators James Bagshaw and Thomas Warmsley, Temples soon caught the attention of a local Record producer and were releasing E.P's about 6 months after forming. The band has not released an album yet (that changes on Feb 10) and are already headlining their own shows and being touted as the best new British band by Johnny Marr and Noel Gallagher. You can catch them Saturday if they're not conflicting with your other 30 favorite bands who are also playing Saturday.

Fatboy Slim: Artist of the Day

After Norman Cook left beats international and adopted the "Fatboy Slim" moniker in 1996 he became one of the biggest names in house music to date. As one of the premier artists for both big beat and acid house, Fatboy Slim has kept himself busy over the last twenty or so years both with Fatboy slim and with his side project "The Brighton Port Authority" which he formed in 2008. While he might not be a favorite with the new school of EDM fans, anyone who's been listening to house for more than five years will probably have a warm, nostalgic place in their hearts saved for Mr Slim. Here's the video for his 1999 single "Praise You" featuring the dance stylings of a young Spike Jonze.

Be sure to check him out on friday night amongst an already stacked edm lineup where he's sure to stand out. Here's his 2013 U.K. no. 1 hit "Animals"

Duke Dumont: Artist Of The Day

It's been 8 years and 3 E.P's since Duke Dumont started remixing pop songs in the U.K. Having recently released a chart-topper (see below) and now set to release his debut album this year, were finally seeing what Dumont has in store for us, and so far so good. Here's hoping he collaborates with Disclosure at some point for some insane House. Catch him playing Friday.

DARKSIDE: Artist Of The Day

The ridulously laid back music of Nicholas Jaar and Dave Harrington would be perfect for a Gobi Tent sunset. Lets hope Paul B. feels the same. Jaar has been in the business for awhile now and when he teamed up with multi-instrumentalist Harrington they blended together a truly unique sound. Having just released their debut album (after two years of work) in October to much praise, were hopefully seeing just the beginning of a fruitful career for DARKSIDE. They also released Random Access Memories Memories in June, A complete rework of Daft Punk's album of (almost) the same name. Playing Saturday.

Duck Sauce: Artist of the Day

One thing can be said for the nu-house duo Duck Sauce, when Armand Van Helden and A-trak get together they're gonna have a good time and they're not going to take themselves too seriously. With a unique blend of disco samples and house beats they'll surely get you dancing on sunday night. Here's the first single from their 2013 album Quack, "It's You"

Beady Eye: Artist Of The Day

While youre waiting for your Oasis reunion, how about watching Oasis!? Ok well not REALLY Oasis... Like many bands before them, former bandmates from Oasis were not ready to stop making music just because one of their star players dropped out of the band. Not wanting to take it as far as David Gilmour, Liam Gallagher and co. decided to release new albums under Beady Eye. As you can guess, due to their status (and ok, good music) they immediately returned to the top of the UK charts. We look forward to seeing how Oas-ahem, Beady Eye evolves under this new direction and name. You can catch them Sunday. - Nick
