Temples: Artist Of The Day
Originally starting as a Who cover band home project between collaborators James Bagshaw and Thomas Warmsley, Temples soon caught the attention of a local Record producer and were releasing E.P's about 6 months after forming. The band has not released an album yet (that changes on Feb 10) and are already headlining their own shows and being touted as the best new British band by Johnny Marr and Noel Gallagher. You can catch them Saturday if they're not conflicting with your other 30 favorite bands who are also playing Saturday.

Fatboy Slim: Artist of the Day
After Norman Cook left beats international and adopted the "Fatboy Slim" moniker in 1996 he became one of the biggest names in house music to date. As one of the premier artists for both big beat and acid house, Fatboy Slim has kept himself busy over the last twenty or so years both with Fatboy slim and with his side project "The Brighton Port Authority" which he formed in 2008. While he might not be a favorite with the new school of EDM fans, anyone who's been listening to house for more than five years will probably have a warm, nostalgic place in their hearts saved for Mr Slim. Here's the video for his 1999 single "Praise You" featuring the dance stylings of a young Spike Jonze.

Martin Garrix: Artist of the Day
Most eight year olds aspire to be aspire to be firemen or astronauts, but after young Martijn Garritsen saw Tiesto perform at the 2004 Athens Olympic games he dreamed of becoming a dj. Who would have thought that his less than traditional life goal would lead him down the path towards international house music fame by the age of seventeen. Be sure to check him out on friday night amongst an already stacked edm lineup where he's sure to stand out. Here's his 2013 U.K. no. 1 hit "Animals"

Duke Dumont: Artist Of The Day
It's been 8 years and 3 E.P's since Duke Dumont started remixing pop songs in the U.K. Having recently released a chart-topper (see below) and now set to release his debut album this year, were finally seeing what Dumont has in store for us, and so far so good. Here's hoping he collaborates with Disclosure at some point for some insane House. Catch him playing Friday.

DARKSIDE: Artist Of The Day
The ridulously laid back music of Nicholas Jaar and Dave Harrington would be perfect for a Gobi Tent sunset. Lets hope Paul B. feels the same. Jaar has been in the business for awhile now and when he teamed up with multi-instrumentalist Harrington they blended together a truly unique sound. Having just released their debut album (after two years of work) in October to much praise, were hopefully seeing just the beginning of a fruitful career for DARKSIDE. They also released Random Access Memories Memories in June, A complete rework of Daft Punk's album of (almost) the same name. Playing Saturday.

Duck Sauce: Artist of the Day
One thing can be said for the nu-house duo Duck Sauce, when Armand Van Helden and A-trak get together they're gonna have a good time and they're not going to take themselves too seriously. With a unique blend of disco samples and house beats they'll surely get you dancing on sunday night. Here's the first single from their 2013 album Quack, "It's You"

Beady Eye: Artist Of The Day
While youre waiting for your Oasis reunion, how about watching Oasis!? Ok well not REALLY Oasis... Like many bands before them, former bandmates from Oasis were not ready to stop making music just because one of their star players dropped out of the band. Not wanting to take it as far as David Gilmour, Liam Gallagher and co. decided to release new albums under Beady Eye. As you can guess, due to their status (and ok, good music) they immediately returned to the top of the UK charts. We look forward to seeing how Oas-ahem, Beady Eye evolves under this new direction and name. You can catch them Sunday.

The Bots: Artist of the Day
Brothers Mikaiah [20] and Anaiah [16] may not be the youngest performers this year (see Unlocking the Truth, the band of seventh grade metal heads) but they still released more albums in high school than you did. With a lo-fi garage punk sound and explosive energy on and off stage the california duo has garnered attention from many big names in music. In fact Coachella alumn Damon Albarn (Gorillaz, Blur) recently dubbed the duo his "current favorite band." Not bad for a couple of skate rats from SoCal. Here's their 2011 single "Northern Lights"

KiD CuDi: Artist of the Day
We can all thank Mr. Kanye West for signing a kid named Cudi to GOOD Music in 2008 and sharing him with the world. With themes ranging from partying to depression the Kid isn't afraid to open a painful and honest window in to his life, and that's something you just have to respect. You can catch Kid Cudi Saturday night a midst a potentially huge block of conflicts, but as one of the most diverse hip hop acts of the year, he'll only make the decision that much harder. Here's his 2009 party anthem off of Man on the Moon: The End of Day featuring another Saturday act, MGMT, "Persuit of Happiness"

Queens of the Stone Age: Artist of the Day
With a unique blend of heavy metal and hard rock, Queens of the Stone Age's driving drum beats and visceral guitar riffs embody all that is the desert. You can taste the diesel in the air and see the dust kicking up in the rear view when listening to 2002's Songs for the Deaf, a concept album that takes you on a desert drive from Los Angeles to Joshua Tree in the heart of the Mojave. QotSA will potentially be playing in the middle of a serious block of conflicts on saturday night, so choose wisely. Here's "No One Knows" because where else can you see Josh Homme, Dave Grohl, and one seriously pissed off deer.

Foxygen: Artist Of The Day
I think if I find one more band that I like on Saturday ill have to go both weekends to dodge conflicts... Im pretty sure the only songs that the members of Foxygen have heard were produced between 1965-1967. Formed in Los Angeles in 2005 this four-piece has been increasing in popularity due to their unique 60s sound and over the top live shows (slightly toned down since lead singer Sam France fell off stage in July, breaking his leg). They also recently collaborated with The Flaming Lips on their reworking of The Stone Roses (last years headliner) debut album. Give these guys a listen and sweat over yet another conflict!

Dum Dum Girls: Artist of the Day
With songs ranging from the slow and melodic to upbeat and pooppy, Dum Dum Girls really show what can be done with a bit of lo-fi bedroom recording and a story to tell. If you're able to drag ass in to the fest early on friday afternoon you might want to drop by and check them out. Here's the first single from 2011's Only in Dreams, "Coming Down"

Sleigh Bells: Artist Of The Day
When you're walking away from the Outdoor stage Saturday night with ruptured ear drums you can thank Brooklyn's Alexis Krauss and Dennis Miller of Sleigh Bells. Forming in 2008 and releasing their debut album in 2010, this duo has been causing a complete ruckus wherever they perform. Now with 3 albums of face-melting tunes, Sleigh Bells is sure to leave you wanting more, more sound that is, Cause you're deaf now.

Broken Bells: Artist of the Day
What do you get when you put Danger Mouse and The Shins' James Mercer in the same studio? Broken Bells of course. The groups debut self titled album saw some serious success in u.s. markets and their sophomore album, After the Disco, drops this february. Definitely an act to see for all the indie kids. Disclosure: Artist of the Day
Playing Sunday night for the second consecutive year, disclosure is being touted as one of this years acts not to miss. The dust storm last year sent me packing before their set like a lot of us so i'm certainly not going to miss them this time.

Jagwar Ma: Artist of the Day
Alright folks, me and Jackson will be splitting the video a day duties. Here's Jagwar Ma, They just put out their first album in July and they're playing on Friday. This is the best video I could find of theirs but they have quite a few good songs. Check em out!
